The Witch Between Worlds - Original Graphite Drawing, 5×7

After years away, she returns.

Perched on the edge of a portal, an ancient witch surveys a city both familiar and changed. Her staff holds the key to passageways between worlds - and to the things this place has forgotten.

She brings through what is needed: a whisper of wonder, the renewing breath of nature, a spark of magic where it has grown scarce. Each crossing is deliberate. She knows that restoring balance depends as much on what she keeps out as what she welcomes in.

The Witch Between Worlds brings this story to life in graphite: a modern skyline meets an old tree, autumn leaves follow currents of energy, and a watchful woman sits between them. Her natural curls, decorative markings, and heeled boots place ancient magic within a contemporary world.

Created across Days 3 & 4 of my 30-day art challenge celebrating magical Black women.
