The Autumn Oracle - Original Graphite Drawing, 5×7

She sees what is flourishing—and what must fall away.

The Autumn Oracle belongs to a long lineage of seers entrusted with receiving visions across time and speaking their truth. She witnesses the prosperity humanity could cultivate, alongside the darker futures taking shape when we refuse to change.

She delivers both messages. Her warnings offer an opportunity to choose differently while there is still time.

Autumn gives her wisdom its rhythm: gather what nourishes, honor what has borne fruit, and release what threatens the next season’s growth. She asks humanity to examine what it carries forward—the beliefs, habits, and systems that shape our shared future.

In this original graphite drawing, her steady gaze meets the viewer beneath a decorated headband and a sweep of textured locs. Autumn leaves, flowing fabric, and a luminous orb surround her, bringing her story into view through pencil lines and layered shadows.

Created for Day 5 of my 30-day art challenge exploring magical Black women and the stories they carry.

A piece for those who value truth, welcome reflection, and recognize the wisdom in letting go.
